Environmental Policy

The company together with its employees ensures that action taking place in the factory do not cause environmental effect or harm to its neighbors or the factory environs by adhering to the following:

  • Treating affluent waste before disposing to the sewer line
  • Gathering its waste paper for recycling
  • Posting warning notices and signs where there are hazardous chemicals
  • Conforming to all statutes regulating conduct of the factory activities and the environment

DPL is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy working environment to all our operations, employees, visitors, customers and the public who may be affected by our activities.

As such, we have formed a very strong and active Environmental Health and Safety Committee to closely assess, identify and address concerns emanating from continuous environmental audits within the company. The committee meets once every month to review the progress of various improvement projects.

This high powered committee is subdivided into subcommittees for effective undertaking of its mandate namely:

  • Pest & Rodent control,
  • Dust and Noise reduction,
  • General Hygiene and Sanitary conditions,
  • Personal Protective Equipment,
  • Floor management & staff safety,
  • First aid and Fire preparedness committee.

We continuously conduct training to empower our staff on, Environmental Health and Safety awareness at the workplace as stipulated e.g. the EHS Act 2007, NEMA regulations etc.
